Found nurse retirement gifts in I am 29 and selling my house and I am going to have around 100,000 bucks?

Question by : I am 29 and selling my house and I am going to have around 100,000 bucks?
and I am trying to decide what is the best way to turn it into more… I am thinking buy an old house and reno it and flip it for a profit, or buy a subway sandwich store fyi you can get one for about 95,000
or go to helicopter school and then be making 150 – 250 thousand a year… but it costs 45,000-90-000 depending on the type of chopper you train in. side note… flying choppers has been a dream of mine for a long time, but making lots of money is more important to me. SO what would you guys do with the funds to make even more money???? also the house that I bought was a old crappy mobile home that my mother owned and she (PSW) and her sister (Registered nurse) wanted to start a retirement home and they couldnt without a down payment of 30,000 dollars that they didn’t have and I had some money and needed a place to stay, so to help them out I told my mom I would give her the 30,000 for the down payment if she gave me the crappy trailer home. I figured I would take a loss by buying that old crappy place but I lived there for 9 years and property value went up and I sunk $ 45000 in reno’s into the place and now it looks gorgeous and I should get 92,000 after fees so I’ll end up making 17000 plus I had a place to stay for 9 years.
so once again what would you do to make more money if you had 100,000 to work with?????
also for fun you could add what you would do to blow all the money and just have a great time like going to vegas and gambling it away or traveling around the world or buying lots of jewelry or something!!! let me know guys!!! THINK HARD!!!! IF I MAKE LOTS OF MONEY WITH YOUR IDEA I WILL FIND YOU, AND GIVE YOU A REWARD/GIFT!!! so lets get those ideas flowing people!

Question by Lady Jagger: If you were a nun would you find this offenseve? (ideas for an art midterm project!)?
For my art midterm I have to make up an invitation to some type of event (kind of a dumb project) so I, being a huge Bowie/Jagger fan, decided that it would be cool to make an invitation to Ziggy Stardust’s retirement dinner (it was a very famous party back in the 70s) This party is referred to as Ziggy Stardust’s Last Supper, so I thought that it would be interesting to draw David Bowie and his friends in DaVinci’s last supper. There are pictures of the party and everyone is just sitting at one big table and it looks just like it lol. The only thing is I go to a Catholic school and my art teacher is a really nice nun, so I don’t want to offend her. Is that inappropriate?
Than you SOO much!

I’m not really sure…I’ve never been to Catholic school so I don’t really know what the rules are or anything. Does the nun have a good sense of humor? She might appreciate the humor in your idea. But I think it’s a judgment call on your part.

Found teacher retirement party ideas in Are these ideas for economic survival too radical?

Question by Edward N: Are these ideas for economic survival too radical?
The status quo is not sustainable. We’ve heard that often enough. So what? Some “brainstorming”, “outofthebox” thinking may be in order to meet a dramatically different future, than what we have enjoyed in the past. What do you think of these ideas? And I welcome yours (before I wave my magic wand)
1. All efforts, appropriate, to eliminate illegal immigrants from our jobs, our schools, emergency rooms, courts and jails. Secure the Southern border.
2. Women who have chosen to be Mothers and have a working spouse, go home. Your absence from the workplace and your presence at home with your children will be the greatest contribution to your community that you can make.
3. Social Security benefits paid only to those actually in need of it to prevent poverty. (This was its original intent anyway) Also, eliminate the cap on FICA taxes. Everybody pays on all income earned.
4. Police, firemen, teachers, union members and others on pensions and retirement programs agree to cuts in benefits appropriate to the crisis, until it is passed. Soc. Sec. too.
5. Abolish our present system of taxation. Adopt either a “fair tax” or a flat rate system. This would free up TRILLIONS of dollars presently in offshore taxhavens, which would return to the US. giving our economy the biggest possible shot in the arm.
6. Toss out ALL incumbents in Washington, elect new blood, not career politicians who are bought and paid for by special interests. Both parties have abandoned The People.

That would return us to the principles that prevailed before government took over everything. It would never work.
