Question by Daisyhill: How muh money do I give to my daughters teachers retirement gift fund?
There are 3 teachers retiring this term…one is my 5 year olds current teacher and the 2nd is the lady who had her last year….for nursery….the 3rd is one we have not ha at all.

We have been asked to give something in an envelope if we choose and hand it into the office….HOW much do I give? THis is a school full of rich people and I will feel bd not giving to the 3rd teacher at all…so should i give a litte to all three or most to her ttwo teachers she has been taught by?

Give a small amount to a charity in their name and enclose a note informing them of that in a card.

that is a tough one. i’m assuming this is your first encounter with this kind of situation. I would go to someone that you trust involved in the PTA (Parent Teacher Association) or similar association and ask them what a typical donation is.

Personally, i think that’s gotta bite the big one if your retirement is based off what the parents donate when you decide to stop working. I mean, i doubt they are expected to live off the donations. It sounds more like a “Hey thanks for the good job; now go by thot boat, or new car, or go on that trip” kind of gift.

But, hey, straight up i’m a 22 year old college student who still lives with his parents, so you might want to consider that, coming from me!lol
